It is hard to believe how quickly this summer has flown by. We are so thankful for all that God has done and for the growth we have seen this summer, both in the work here in South Dakota and in the ministry in New Zealand. We are grateful to see God continuing to open doors, provide opportunities, and work in the lives of people in both places. It is a blessing to be a part of what He is doing, and we look forward to seeing what He has in store in the future.

We are thankful for the encouraging reports we have received from New Zealand. It is a blessing to hear how God is continuing to work in hearts and lives there, even while we are currently in the States.

Sina recently shared with us about a Bible study that they had about prayer. She said, “They got into pairs, and each group discussed what the Lord’s Prayer meant to them and how we as individuals could apply it to our own lives and with others. This was something way out of their comfort zone, but praise God that His Spirit was amongst our service, as the different ones were deeply explaining how each verse given to them made them see through their spiritual eyes instead of their human eyes, which was actually touching. A few tears were shed about God’s forgiveness and love as they dived deep into the Word, and they’re all slowly opening up and contributing towards our Bible studies.”
During one of our video sessions with the youth, we mentioned that Reiawna had a journaling Bible. Three of the young ladies expressed that they would like to have one as well. We were thankful that we were able to purchase and ship the Bibles for each of them. Recently, one of the girls, Andrea, told us that she has been reading her Bible every day. She said the new Bible is helping her to read more. We are thankful for the opportunity to encourage these young people in their walk with the Lord and to see them developing a desire for God’s Word.
South Dakota
Brother and Sister Sanders have been so gracious to us, and we are thoroughly enjoying serving alongside them in the work of the Lord. It has been a tremendous encouragement to watch them faithfully obey God’s leading and move halfway across the country at a stage in life when many people are thinking about retirement. Their willingness to step out by faith is a testimony that God’s work is never finished as long as He gives us strength to serve.

The church in South Dakota is continuing to grow. Attendance for the Sunday service has averaged in the mid-twenties over the past few weeks.
The Lord has given us opportunities to pass out tracts and witness to several people in the RV park where we are staying. There are some Guatemalan construction workers who are staying there. We invited them to church. Two of them came and the next Sunday, they brought a friend. It has been a great encouragement to see them attending church! We learned they are from a Seventh-day Adventist background. We are praying that the truth of the Gospel will penetrate their hearts. Please pray for Brandon, Neddy, and Lester. Brandon and Neddy have Bibles, but Lester did not. We were able to purchase a Spanish Bible for them. Please pray that God will use His Word to speak to each of these men and draw them closer to Himself.
We met another man in the RV park by the name of Lee. Lee is in the 5th stage of dementia. An acquaintance who has known him for 30 years shared that Lee had a difficult childhood and has not lived a good life. She said he has never attended church. However, over the past couple months, Lee has been faithfully attending services with us. On several occasions, he has come to us asking when the next service would be. It has been a blessing to see the evidence of God working in his heart. In a recent service, the invitation for salvation was given and a couple people raised their hands. Lee was one of them. Praise God for His mercy! Later when he was asked if he had given his heart to the Lord, Lee said yes! Please keep Lee in your prayers.
Tanner, a deaf man, and his son Kenny, have been attending the church services from time to time. Brother Sanders had a desire to find a way to communicate with Tanner and make sure he could understand and participate in the services. God had already prepared someone for this need. Keely Hamburg, a young lady, who used to visit their church in Kentucky lives in South Dakota and has a degree in sign language. Brother Sanders got in touch with her, and she has been interpreting the church services for Tanner through video whenever he attends.
