The last time we were here in New Zealand we worked with a food bank called The Hope Center. We have reconnected with them and have been working there every week. The need for this type of ministry has grown lately because of Covid and the increased cost of living. Previously they would give out around 150 to 200 food parcels a month. Currently they are giving out around 800 food parcels a month.
Please pray that God will continue to provide the needed supplies for this ministry. Last week one of the groups that supplies them with food brought twice as much as they normally do. One of the workers said, “someone must have been praying, because we were out of meat.” Also, pray with us that they will be able to secure another building for the food bank. Previously, they were having a church service every other week. They are not able to have a service now because of a lack of space.
