This past Friday Reitha was praying for the volunteers at the Hope Center, the food bank we are working at. Some of the people there are not saved, and she was seeking God for direction and an opportunity to reach out to them with the Gospel. Later that day as we were working there at the Hope Center, Sanju, one of the ladies that volunteers there began talking to Reitha.
Sanju is from a Hindu background, but she says that she believes in God. The issue in dealing with Hindu’s is that they believe in millions of gods. Many times when they hear of God or Jesus, they will just add Him to the list of many other gods that they worship.
Sanju was telling Reitha about her brother that cut one of his fingers off in an accident with a saw. They have sewed the finger back on, but they are not sure if he is going to be able to keep it. The doctors were planning to take the finger back off, but a Christian lady came and prayed for him. Sanju said they could feel the power of God in the room when she prayed. The next morning the doctor said that they would wait another week before removing the finger to see what would happen.
Her brother is needing a miracle for God to restore his finger and provide for his family. He and his wife have a special needs daughter that is paralyzed from the waist down. His wife has had to quit her job to care of him and their daughter.
We have been told that many times when a Hindu witnesses a miracle they will believe in Jesus Christ. We know we serve a miracle working God and that He used signs and wonders to establish and to advance the early church. He is still doing the same today when he finds those that believe Him for miracles. Sanju went to a Methodist school growing up in Fiji and has heard the Gospel message. However, she has not accepted Christ. Reitha had the opportunity to share the gospel with her once again. Thank God for answering prayer and giving us an open door.
Please join with us in prayer that God will work and show Himself mighty in the lives of Sanju, her brother Pushaun, and their entire family. Also that they will be convinced that He is the one and only true God.
