We are thankful for the opportunities that we had to share the gospel this past week as well as progress towards starting the radio station.
As we mentioned in a previous post we have now received our 2 year visa, so we are moving forward with preparations to start the radio station. This week we constructed the wall for the studio in our garage.
Friday afternoon the girls went with their ukulele teacher to sing at a couple nursing home services.
On Friday evening we went to downtown Auckland for street evangelism. The girls played their ukulele’s and sang and we handed out tracts. We gave a tract to a young lady from China, we will call “Alice.” She has been here in New Zealand for about 5 months. She shared how she has had things stolen, been taken advantage of, and mistreated by different people while she has been here. The presence of God came by in a special way as we shared with her that Jesus cared for her. He has seen every thing that has happened to her and He is praying to the Father for her. She said she was moved while we were talking to her. We gave her our phone number and invited her to church. She is going try and go if her work schedule will allow it. “Alice” has downloaded the Bible in Chinese on her phone. As she was leaving she said because of you “I am going to read my Bible.” Pray for this young lady that through His Word, God will reveal Himself to her in a mighty way.
Saturday was the children’s Bible class. The lesson was on the coming of the Lord and Heaven. Later that evening Reitha was talking to the mother of a couple of the girls that come to the class. She said when her girls came home they said that they learned a lot today.
Earlier in the week we were passing out tracts on a street near our home. Reitha gave a tract to a man by the name of Siao. Siao has come to New Zealand from Tonga for medical help with a broken shoulder. He does not understand a lot of English. We found some gospel literature in the Tongan language and brought it to him. He came to church with us this Sunday morning. We are thankful that God ministered to his heart in the service. The pastor asked those that needed prayer to come forward, and he went forward. Siao plans on coming back to church and bringing his wife with him.
